Canterbury Cross Primary School incorporates the Read Write Inc program into the Early Years Foundation Stage, by training our EYFS staff it ensures consistency and high-quality teaching – in every lesson, allowing the teachers to develop the children's reading, writing and letter formation to reach the expected standard of the Phonics screening check.
Tapestry
Canterbury Cross Primary School has recently started Tapestry which allows us to builds a special record of a child’s experiences, development and learning journey whilst attending our Nursery and Reception. Using photos, videos, and diary entries, a teacher, along with the child’s parents or carers, can see how their child is growing and developing. The Tapestry platform then works seamlessly to enable these memories to be kept as a permanent record of each child’s unique journey.
*All information held in the platform is stored securely and can be downloaded and shared as required.* Parents or carers are able to view their child’s progress, the activities provided for them, and how much fun they’re having, whilst also uploading their own comments and media.
The Tapestry online learning journal is accessible via the link below and also available as an easy-to-use, secure app, meaning capturing key learning milestones are even easier.
