Welcome to Year 5
Welcome to Year 5, we have two classes which are 5H and 5W. Our PE days are Monday and Thursday, children should come to school in PE kit on those days. Homework and reading records will be collected on Mondays, and homework is handed out on Thursdays.

This week in Year 5, the children have taken part in Black History Month by learning about the life of Nelson Mandella and creating a fact file.

In year 5 this week, the children have working on their literacy skills by creating a variety of sentence types.

This week, year 5 have been learning about what makes a good friend and how to deal with conflict.

This week, Year 5 have created their own street dance routines. They have implemented cannoning, moving in unison with one another and rhythm.

This week in Science, Year 5 have been using thermochromic paper to identify whether different everyday school objects can be used as conductors or insulators.
