Welcome to Year 2
PE days are now on a Tuesday and Thursdays.
Spellings are given out on a Monday and tested on a Friday.
Homework and reading books are sent home on a Thursday and should be handed in on a Monday. If you have any questions about the homework, please speak to your child's teacher on a Friday.

This week we started our D.T project, moving vehicles. The children tested different materials to make wheels and axels.

This week in R.E we continued to explore acts of kindness and compared two stories.

Diwali Activities
This week 2K performed their Diwali assembly. The children learnt about the importance of Diwali and what people do when celebrating. Then children were able to complete Diwali activities and games.

ICT
This week in ICT the children really enjoyed using the laptops to move images and resize images on a word document.

Art
This week we have been evaluating our hot and cold atmospheres. We discussed what we liked about our work and suggested improvements.

History
This week Year 2 went on a trip to Aston Hall. We learnt all about the Great Fire of London for our History topic. The children learnt about Samuel Pepys, how the fire started and how they people of London put out the fire.
