What's New:
School Council

At Canterbury Cross Primary School, we believe it is very important for ALL children to have a voice and feel as though their views and opinions count. Therefore, in the Autumn Term, each pupil from years 2 to 6 applies to become a school councillor, and an election is held.

Each councillor has to ensure that the views of all of the children in their class are heard. They work hard to find ways of collecting the ideas and suggestions of the rest of the school by having:

School counsil is led by Mrs Nazaw and the councillors meet fortnightly to talk about any issues that have been raised by the children in their class.

Lots of really great changes have taken place due to the school council, and we hope this year is also instrumental in implementing key changes, put forward by the children.

  • class votes
